I've been browsing 6speedonline for quite some time, and registered a few months back I believe.

My previous car before I picked up the 997 was a 2003 M3 6speed, which was declared totalled back in June after a young girl made a left turn out of a parking lot before acknowledging oncoming traffic. I walked away pretty lucky only sustaining a fractured arm that required surgery (metal plate + screws) to repair....

ANYWAY, on to the new love of my life. I bought her brand new off the lot from Huntington Porsche in Long Island. When I picked her up, I was still in a cast -- so I basically stared at the car in my garage for about 2 weeks before I was able to take her out:

GT Silver Metallic
19" Carrera Classics
Black Leather Seats / Heated / Power
Xenon Lights
Upgraded Bose System

So far I've had the Porsche SSK and Cargraphic springs installed by RPM Racing (a sponsor here and a great company). I have so much more planned for this car, yet with so little disposable income. Anyway, onto the pics:

Congratulations and welcome. GT Silver, a very nice color. Your car looks clean. I like the ride height.

Thanks guys!

In reference to the height, the subtle drop that cargraphic offers is PERFECT for this car -- I can drive spiritedly without worrying about bottoming out or scraping the front bumper. My last two cars were excessively low, and there were just too many headaches due to the roads here in NY.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the OEM SSK. The shifts feel like they are even shorter than the 20% claimed by Porsche, although it feels quite notchy. The stock shifter on the 997 was one of the smoothest stock shifters I've ever felt, and the shifts were short as is, so I'm undecided as to whether I'll keep the SSK installed or not.
