I can hear mine pretty good, with a stock intake, even while having cross pipes and a gundo'ed exhaust - but I hear it in high rpm's and with the windows down.

Do you have a photo of your gundo hack? I've never seen one for the 997.2 and I am currently looking for exhaust upgrade. Did you use the 2 inch pipe? TIA

K&N filter vs using the paper filter might help.

bokchoys, you might be right but the oil in the filter and the occurence of dirty maf's make me veer off oiled filters. i was hoping there was a way to modify the oem airbox to release more of the sound but not let more hot air in. we can remove the cover and expose the filters which would surely make the intake noise more pronounced but that would allow the intake of hot air from the engine compartment into the engine.

John I can take pics, but I have none at the moment. Not sure which pipes were used but the car sounds wicked. I'm actually getting ready to go to a PSE since I want to be able to open/close the valve, so my setup will be for sale (I also have AWE crossover pipes). If interested feel free to PM me as I don't want us to hijack this thread.
