All new sound and navigation in 2007 Carrera Coupe
I snaked most of the wires behind the metal cage frame you see in the back, then up the dash area to the grommet. For the gps and sirius antennas, I used the plastic snake to feed up a tube to where the center speaker used to be before I removed it. Very very easy with a snake, I am not sure how else it could have been done. [IMG]

the amps from there are pretty self explanatory as far as info goes, it's the same for any car so I left those details out. I ran the turn on wire from the head unit to the jbl ms-8, then from the ms-8 to the amps.
After all the amps were wired up I had troubles with the processor. I decided to skip the processor for now as I wanted to boot this guy up. The speakers for the doors were next, and it was much much easier than I thought. I printed up directions from various forums and had it next to me for each step. The bumper is a B%#$ but the door panels are quite easy with the door trim tools. I didn't break any popper connectors!

this piece pops out at the bottom, but Lift up to slide it off the mount as there is a directional tab at the top, so up to the sky, not pulled towards you.

the stock woofer, large! you can actually fit something really big in here if you like, such as a 7 or 8 inch woofer. I have the focal 6.5 inch which is fine, but I just want to point it out that for the woofer you have options. I removed the midbass from the panel, and the of course the woofer.
One thing clearly notable is the shabby quality of all the bose components.

Ok, now the embarrassing part. I'm not a wood worker or craftsmen, Never used more than a jigsaw and drill for most home projects. I went out and bought a router saw for $60 to make the spacers. My first one is pretty ugly, but it worked well enough and no one will see it so I used it anyway. The second one was much prettier but far from show room quality. I'm pretty sure most folks will laugh at them, but who cares if they work. So anyone can do this. I also discovered that the router is now the coolest tool I own, I love the thing and it can be used for many other projects too. Why I never had one before is beyond me. Way cool stuff.
So first I took the old woofer and penciled in the outline on 3/4" inch mdf I picked up for $11 at home depot. There is more than enough mdf on that sucker.
