Safe engine temperature
if youre talking oil temp, i've seen on forums anywhere from 200 to 275 depending on street or track driving. i am usually at 220 on street and 250-260 on track.
if you're talking water temp, the middle of the gauge is where you should be. it says "175" (i think? cant remember) but it wasnt designed to be accurate. it basically only reads "off", "normal" and "overheated". so if you ever see that needle start moving toward the red, shut down immediately.

I have carrera s 997 supercharger and after 4 times in the red line of the 3rd,4th and 5th gear with ambient temperature 90F I saw at the thermometer that it was between the watercooler and the throttle maximum 150F.
What do you say about this?
Thanks in advance

Assuming your cooling system is working correctly, you oil is at the right level and correct viscosity and the warning lights come on when they are supposed to, I don't think you'll blow up the engine going to redline. As others have said oil temps in the 220 to 250 range should be OK. Not sure which temperature gauge you're referring to with the 150 degree measurement. Can you explain this again?

I don't think many here have the extra thermocouple you have so can't really make comparisons. I still think you should use your oil temp as your key measurement.
I have also third radiator in front.
Before i fit the supercharger i saw the temp from the MAF,but not the MAF is before the Vortech v2,so i can measure the temp that goes inside the engine.
I was fit a thermocouple between the watercooler and the throttle and i saw at the red line of the 3rd,4th,5th gear that i had 150F.
This is the reason that i'm asking because i want to have the best performance with the safest conditions.
