Sorry. I should have explain a little. Basically, I've been bitten by the GT3 and am contemplating selling my C2 to get into a low miles GT3.

If you have the funds than why not. The only thing you will be missing is the rear seats but you already know that if you are considering a GT3. I haven't read anyone on the forum that said they regret.

Your question seems like a trick one. I'd love a turbo but chose a C2S based on year, mileage, condition and price. Price is an issue for me hence the tradeoffs.

What are you comparing? The same year & miles only going from a C2 plus cash to a GT3? Or perhaps giving up a newer C2 for an older but lower mileage GT3 at roughly the same price? Will the GT3 be a daily driver? Or just a weekend spirited driving and/or track car?

As Ynot says, if the price difference is not an issue and you are trading up, go for it!

I went from an 06 C2S to an 07 GT3, both cars were heavily modified and the GT3 is so much better in all areas. Drive a GT3 and you will understand.

Of the three years I've owned my c2, I can count in one hand how many times I've needed the back seat. I probably can do without. I am thinking if I will miss the PDK though.

What I'll be looking at is 2010 gt3 with approx. 10k miles. Selling my 2011 c2 with 4k miles. I think I will have to dump $25k to $30k plus my car to get into the gt3. I am really not sure if the extra 85hp is worth it. It will be driven 4-5 times a month plus maybe 3-4 track days per year.

How many times have you needed 195 mph?

It's not the hp difference. I have a 09c4S with PDK and got an 2007 GT3 for the track. It's the whole feel of the car from the steering, suspension, Metzger engine wail , you will seek out tunnels to downshift to get the revs up to have the 3 sing its song. I have tracked both and retired the c4S from track duty because the 3 is so much more fun and challenging with the H/T and all that.
Good luck.

The GT3's are holding there value very well right now, I can sell my car for the same $ as I paid for it over a year and a half ago. The extra cash you spend now, will likely stay in the value of the car if you ever sell it.

Well,

Playing the role of devil's advocat, I say that both cars are excellent for what each one has been built for.
It is up to personal needs to define the choice.

George is correct. Depends on what you use the car for. The c4s is a great car as a dd with traffic and for extended trips. The 3 is noisy and my wife can't fit her purse amongst the roll bar. She finds the GT2 seats uncomfortable whereas guys like them. And she drives a manual Boxster.
