I Finally Took Some Pictures of My new to Me 997!!!
Hey guys,
So after looking for the "right" 997 for well over a year, I came across this car one recent morning and bought it the same day. As of just three days ago, it has finally arrived!!
I had the car shipped from Oxnard, California to my home in Naples, FL through Exotic Auto Transport (the people you see in DuPont Registry). I would give them an 8 out of 10 rating, but I'll save that for another thread.
The car I purchased is Arctic Silver Metallic over Full Special Cocoa Leather with Adaptive Sport Seats. The car has an array of awesome options like:
-Full Cocoa leather
-Adaptive sport seats
-Sport Shifter
-PCCB's... just to name a few!
The car has also been retrofitted with the X-51 package using all factory parts including a third radiator.
I bought the car with aftermarket cats and mufflers which I have not yet installed (Ceramic black tips are currently on the car). The previous owner was a Rennlist forum member, but from what I have been told, the first owner (I am third) who really did most of the mofdifications to this car was ALSO a Rennlist forum member so maybe some of you guys will recognize this car. If that's the case, please feel free to chime in!!
Enjoy the photos - let me know what you all think!

Thank you, sir!
Good catch!
most people here would never notice but I figured new car, new plates. I ordered new vanity plates yesterday. I'll post them in 3-8 weeks when they arrive
I think I am enjoying it too much if that were even possible!

You don't have the X51 intake manifold. I wonder what else you may be missing... perhaps you don't have the heads either. Not having the intake manifold is highly suspicious that you don't have the full Powerkit on the car but only the airbox. Check it out and I hope that, if it is as I suspect, that you didn't pay more for it than you would otherwise.

My pleasure! I was concerned that you may have paid a premium for a car advertised as having a full X51/Powerkit conversion, but glad you didn't. What I can see from your pictures is that you're missing the aluminum intake manifold and, because of this, most likely the bigger throttle body from the X51. Do you have access to a PIWIS tester or Durametric? If your car has a full X51/Powerkit conversion, the ECU was flashed and got a permanent change in its numbers that can be verified with a scanner like Durametric or PIWIS.

John, your car looks great, congrats on the find and purchase. I don't see many adaptive sport seats in cocoa...very nice. As well as the extra leather pieces
Now load up on the right cleaning supplies to keep her looking this good for many years!

Congrats on the purchase! and your Miami Heat! Enjoy! I see your car was shipped from Oxnard! I would have checked it out for you before you purchased. Not too many P-cars here.
