Anyone making 991 headlights for the 997?

Are there any vendors out there making the 991 bubble headlights that fit the 997?

I'm not sure what you're sorry about, but you're reply does not answer the question.

Well are you looking for the lens effect, the color temperature of led's?
The new LED's run really hot.
That was the reason for the bubble effect as it melted the plastic lenses from excessive heat.
I think the over exaggerated bubble would look odd on a 997.
Also, I would assume it's not plug'n'play as the supper brights need more current which I would assume would then require a sub board with larger regulator & heat sink.

I like the look of the frog eyed bubble headlights. It is both modern and classic at the same time as opposed to the flat lens cover on the 997. I haven't considered changing to LEDs to upgrade the 997.1 to the 997.2 lights, that is ok, but not what I'm interested in.

I like the bubble headlights because they have a 1960's look and they accentuate the front curves of the hood. Other than the Mach 5, I believe possibly early jags and others had bubble lights, but I would have to look.

Whether or not it would look "odd" remains to be seen and would be a matter of preference. I think it might look very cool on a very cool car.

Lancia Flaminia Sport 2.5

Yup, all very cool cars indeed. But their covers were sculpted for the given curves on a given car, back in an era when all headlights were basically round with flat surfaces.

It might be interesting for some aftermarket shop to make a bubble lens cover for the 997 headlights, however it would have to be done right, otherwise, I also think it will look very odd.

I agree it would have to follow the curvature of the fenders.

Not certain what the market would be for a company to invest in making 991 style retro-fits. I'm thinking some company in Taiwan or HK is probably already on it, and they should at some point be available on E-bay.
