Carwash broke my 'S' - replacement?
Carwash broke my 'S' - replacement?
Went to a manual car wash yesterday and when they dried my car with soft cloths, it must have hooked underneath the tail of the 'S' on my 'Carrera S' logo in the back. The tal of the S broke off.
Is this something I can replace myself? And any idea where I can source the S (and necessary sticking compound?)
Thanks.

I believe you can source one from bumperplugs.com

I did the same thing. I broke the C while drying the car. I managed to stick it back on using loctite adhesive. There's hairline crack where it broke which is visible when you look up close which I plan to replace sometime later. You can find replacement emblems at Suncoast. Link below.

Easy DIY. Put painters tape around where the leading edges where before you clean the area. Doing this allows for easy alignment with the replacement. Clean the area with goo be gone (or something similar). Dry off and reapply the new emblem.
Mine broke off several years ago and replaced with "911". Looks retro cool, and it tends to be a conversation starter of sorts. Also available from bumperplugs.

I appreciate the 'should've avoided car wash' advice, but this is my daily driver and I work 12-hour days. I have neither the time nor the inclination to wash my car myself, but I do have the means to pay someone to do it for me. My only mistake is that I did not catch it until the next day, which means I have no recourse with the car wash.
I disagree. Hairdryer and dental floss to remove the remains of the old. Clean up the surface to remove the goo. Measure a few times and use painter's masking tape to create your centering boundaries - basically a box within which you will paste the decal. Then apply the new lettering. The lettering is already "pre-spaced" on the backing, so you just need to get the overall placement correct.
