Tip to Paddle???
Tip to Paddle???
I know this has comeup before,I did a search and can't find it. I have a 2008 with Tip. I HATE where the buttons are on the steering wheel. I hit them by accident allot. So.... Can I put a Techart wheel with paddles on W/O too much hassel? Or is there another company that makes a wheel and paddles that will fit?
The way I hold the wheel, I have to constantly remind myself they are there, otherwise my thumbs hit them. Don't think it will be the same with paddles. Plus I like the look of paddles better.
There are two paddle shifter conversions. I went with TechArt. If you do a search you can see what others had to say about their choice conversions. Hopes this answers your question.

the one for pdk won't work for tiptronic. you are still down to TA
FWIW, paddles that are attached to steering wheels are not good at all. when you turn the wheel a lot such as exiting a parking lot, you won't know where the paddles are. since tip doesn't have a shifter you can use to +/-, you are SOL until you straighten the car out. this can be dangerous on street (exiting parking lot) and track (exiting hairpins)
also, small paddles are annoying. on the F360 and M3, i upgraded to alum ones that are bigger.
not dissuading your decision but just giving you some data points on what to expect.
