Nope. Not bleeding anything but something is being installed.
Time to install the SharkWerks bypass.
Now my only issue may be the bolts, one looks extremely rusted even after two soakings in PB Blaster. Odd thing is it also a different size than the others.

You will probably snap off a few of those bolts. Best approach would have been to have six new nuts and bolts on hand. In a pinch, you can run out to Autozone and buy some generic metric ones.
These kind of obstacles make these projects even more satisfying. Have fun!

I am on the 3rd treatment of penetrator. Will do more tonight. I have to admit since this is my daily driver i am now hesitant on DIYing this, if I mess up and snap the bolts and cant get them out I am SOL. 40k miles on the car that could cause some issues.
Roger that! I spoke to a fella this morning that had one of the bolts rust/break off. You'd need to drill out the broken one and go to a hardware store and buy another one (stainless this time vs factory)
I retightened them for now while I wait till tomorrow to do the full job. My question though is lets say the two bolts I am worried about snap and I cant punch'em out, is there a risk driving with two solid bolts on each cat until I can get a shop to replace the broken ones?
Well I didnt get too far on this today but patience was key as I was able to remove the cat nuts without breaking the bolts. Simply amazing how rust can eat through the nuts and bolts. On each cat the lower inside nuts actually wore from 13mm down to 10mm! Luckily the threads under them are still solid. The trickiest nut rounded out even after 7 treatments of PB Blaster over 5 days. Tried 2 different type of extractors and finally got it after a few nasty words. Sure am happy the Sharkwerks comes with new 13mm nuts.
The rest of the install hopefully goes quickly tomorrow morning as the rest of rest of the fasteners look to be in good shape,

Its official, the Sharkwerks bypass rocks. After finally getting the main cat nuts off last night I had hoped I was in the clear for the rest of the install today but low and behold the muffler retaining strap on the drivers side caused a problem. The top part of it that holds the screw broke the welds off and just kept spinning. After trying a few different things to force it to stay put I gave up and brought out the hacksaw. Bit of an unnerving feeling sawing off a piece of a 997.2S but I got through the strap without any other damage.
Once the muffler was down it was easy as could be bolting up the bypass. Seeing my car has 42K miles with 27K of those being with the previous owner in the North East I cant complain too much that I had a couple setbacks with rusted bolts/nuts.
First thoughts, the sound is significantly better! The wife loves it and says it finally sounds like a Porsche. I do have a few questions:
1: Are the pipes individually serial numbered? I got mine second hand and it has x0021 on it, just wondering if that means it is one of the first set to be made.
2: I do feel more vibrations at idle with the brake pressed, i know this is a minor issue but it goes away when I turn off the AC compressor or get the RPM up to about 800 vs the 720 it is normally at. I had vibration before the install but it is worse now. i will try to loosen some of the fasteners as some suggest but how can I increase the idle speed in the ECU, can this be done done with a durametric tool or do I have to go to a dealer?
3: I also hear a vibration/rattle at exactly 4K RPM, it shakes pieces of the cabin, is this normal as this is where the Bypass starts to really sound awesome?
