997.1 FM Cable Connector Help

*Also posted on Rennlist*

Need some assistance.

Just purchased a portable Sirrus XM Radio for the 997.1 as I had one built into my F-150 and over the 3 years got so used to it I can't live without it.

The issue is that the Sirrus radio connects to the Porsche radio over an unused FM frequency but as one travels through various countries / states / provinces not the same channels are always unused and quality of the sound is not always optimal.

Sirrus suggested that I connect the radio using an FM cable to the car radio but I am unable to locate any ports on the 997.1 radio. Has anyone dealt with this issue in the past and how did you resolve it (without spending mucho $$$)? Is there a connector in the back of the radio where I can plug in a FM cable?

Thanks Much!

I'm not sure what that is but I know you can retrofit sat radio in your 997. I did it in mine and I'm very pleased. All the parts are oem.

Check out this thread. This is what I followed.

The only problem I had was getting the correct fiber optic cable. I remember the first one I order was incorrect and I had to get a different one that finally worked. Hope this helps
