Outside temperature failure

Anyone have any problems with outside temperature sensor? Every time i start the car, a message of outside temperature failure shows up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Btw its from MY05 997S.

As I recall, the sensor is in the right opening in the front bumper. Look in there for any damage that may have affected the sensor.

I have not had the porsche sensor fail, but had them fail from time to time on various BMWs over the years. Its a pretty cheap part and plug and play to fix. I recall seeing it in the pass. side air intake.

I actually did check that. I don't see any loose wires and it seems like the sensor itself is intact. Anything i should check besides that?

Check the connector on the sensor wire further upstream. Sometimes something as simple as it coming unplugged could cause this error. Happened to me after installing a 3rd center radiator on my C2S.
