Should be a seperate discussion section for the idiosyncratic discussions of audiophiles dissatisfied with their Porsches stereo system so those of use who never gave the stereo system a thought when we bought our Pcars could avoid it. I understand Lexus puts great radios in their line of luxo cruisers. Or maybe an older Lincoln towncar......

Oh, c'mon... A big part of the attraction of P-cars is that they can be used as both a daily driver and a track car. Why is it so unreasonable to look for a decent sound system to accompany a full-leather interior? If you want to build a "purist" performance car, why would you offer leather this/that, 3 different levels of floormat, luggage options, deviated stitching, color-coded keys, ventilated/heated seats, etc.? The options list for any P-car is about 90% comfort/style and only 10% performance to begin with, so why not rip 'em a bit for putting in a junk sound system?

Agree, had a 07S and now a 114S... Both with the Bose package.
Amazing Sound!

Wheeler is infamous around these parts
Hard to say as mine is NOT a daily driver. With the PSE and fabspeed x pipe and a manual, I seriously find it almost distracting to have music up when I'm driving. That said, in just messing with the audio in the garage, it's, let's say, very "factory" sounding and certainly not in the realm of even a mediocre aftermarket setup...IMO.

If you think the 911 has a ****ty sound system, you should drive a Boxster for a bit... it'll ground your perception of what "****ty" really is

+1

I agree. Try building a Porsche to order and you'll begin to realize that Porsche makes so much money on options. I'm not sure about the 991, but there's so much physical room for the factory to actually offer almost-competition grade audio-option for the 997. At mass production, I believe it would be pretty reasonable also from a cost standpoint.
