Evolution Motorsports Intake Installed

Finally decided to pull the trigger on an EvoMS V-Flow intake since I also have a set of Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes on order :-).

Worked with Gabe in sales, picked up the intake from the shop, went home and had it installed in about half an hour. Kit came with everything i needed and there was no janky fitment like there can be with other aftermarket stuff. I was pleasantly surprised there.

After putting around for a while to let the ECU re-learn, I took to the back roads for some spirited driving, and it pulls a LOT smoother. There isn't a drastic difference in noise, but that will change once the mufflers go bye bye Once everything is installed it's going back to Evo MS for a tune, and I'll post a dyno. Then it's time for some aero...good lord what have I gotten myself into

LOL....yep...that's what happens....ironically I just put my evo intake on as well this afternoon....my thoughts mirror yours....much quicker response....am waiting for my fister exhaust coming soon and then a RSS pulley,IPD plenum and throttle body and x51 headers also....may as well go with some 200 cell cats possibly...little by little it will happen over the next few mths....as my Dad would say...."hell, its only money....you'll make more".....have fun with it!

Does your 911 have factory PSE by any chance?

Well, you're not going to believe this ****.

I got under my car to look for the PSE connector, and guess what I found?

Fabspeed Maxflow Exhaust with the 200 cell Sport Cats

Guess all I need is a header!

I am not sure whether to be excited or feel like a massive tool for not knowing it's been on my car since I bought it.

I think there's a pretty good chance it's been tuned. Since it's the only 997 I've ever driven, I'd have no way of knowing if it was or not. I need to get under her and see if any suspension mods have been done.

It could be worse. I bought new wheels and took them to a shop to get tires mounted and have them put on.. Discovered first that the wheels my car came with had lugs that wouldn't fit the new wheels, so I had to order them in. Then discovered on another attempt that I didn't have the key for the wheel locks (I didn't even know I had wheel locks). I felt like an idiot in that shop twice in two weeks!

Might have to try one of these, might help my low RPM cutout problem since installing the cat delete pipes.

For the Evo intake, their installation instructions are pretty good. This is what I followed.

When I purchased my CS2 3 months ago, it came with the PSE, Evom Intake, Tuning and the Exhaust Valve remote control, not to mention a few other tasty mods.

So for, I'm only driving with the valve opened, it makes all the difference in the world. Love the way it sounds especially at 3K+ rpm.
