2011 911 TT v. 2008 Ferrari F430?

A 2011 911 TT v. 2008 Ferrari F430 have similar price points. The 911 TT looks to be faster. The F430 has a bit more of the wow factor. Anyone recommend one over the other?

TT is way more useful than a F430
More daily drive I prefer TT, but if you want something wow, go for f430

thanks for the response. what do you mean more useful? any reason the F430 couldn't be a DD other than getting too much attention?

First, TT is a 4 seats car lol, you will have more space.
And I think Stock TT is a little bit higher than stock F430 which you don't have a lot of problem when you drive on a ugly city road.
TT is all wheel drive, it could be a big difference when the weather gets bad.
But anyway, F430 is a really exotic, looks better and sound better for me.
Good luck

If you are even considering a Ferrari, do yourself a favor and go visit a dealer. Learn about what "major" and "minor" (service) means to your wallet.... I was amazed - the cost of the car is just a drop in the bucket. Even if you have to take a trip to do it, at least you will be informed. I did this for my 40th b-day with a buddy. The experience was great even though I didn't even drive a car and the dealer here in Atlanta was friendly and never dismissive. I learned a ton and had a great time looking at the cars and listening.

For me personally, I learned that I didn't really want a Ferrari. I wanted something I could drive every day and not worry about maintenance. P-cars, Audi, etc... for me Not that I still don't go "ohhhhh... ahhhh" when I see an F430 on the road, but I no longer have the desire to own one. Of course it helps that I have a 911 in the garage too!

F430 is an amazing car for how old it is. I was cross shopping these with Porsche Turbos. I liked the F430 a lot better (overall). The sensation when driving is soooo much better than with any P-car. Hearing a high revving V8 scream just a few inches from your head is incredible. But the F430 its slow (for me). So I decided on the Turbo S and it is now in process of being upgraded to be a track and airstrip monster. By the way I raced an F430 at the NoFlyZone roll-on event from 40-160mph with my Turbo S and I put like 10 cars on it.

Obviously I only took a test drive.

DD, can't hear when I'm on Bluetooth.
Suspension too firm after awhile.
Never make it too work, I would head for the twisties.
I would always give in to merging traffic, would lose at chicken everytime.
I can't afford one anyway, along with couldn't afford the maintenance required for 17k miles a year.
I just don't think it was designed for DD, I'm sure someone does.
Too Raw for everyday, IMO...

For DD, definitely a Porsche. Ferrari's maintenance are very costly and comes around often.

For weekend wow factor, get a Ferrari!

Out the insane number of cars I have owned in my life 4 have been Ferrari's my last being a gearshift 430 coupe (in my opinion the last model worth owning). I have also owned multiple Maserati's and a Lamborghini thrown in for the heck of it. In the end my 39th and 40th Porsche's sit in my garage. The 430 is a fun car feels faster than it is partly because it is low, the sound it makes and the Ferrari magic you feel from behind the wheel. It is not like a 360 and the cost are not as high as you might think. Would I use it as a daily driver well I did a few times when I owned mine and since I have no idea what a DD is to you I could not say if I'd advise it or not.

I've only driven a 430 once. Beautiful car, but at 6'3" way too cramped for me. Not enough leg room and I was looking directly at the top of the windshield (it was a spider). I figured out that it wasn't something I would want to own as I couldn't find a comfortable driving position in it.
