I think I've sat in my car in the garage more times this winter than I have driven it last year. It's been a brutal winter. #withdrawal

Haha, I thought we were the only ones to do this. Peeks eventually lead to late night errands for no reason. It's quiet and no one on the road.

P virus...believe it! It's preceded by a condition know as "Low P". Porsche adrenaline levels can drop dangerously low during longer periods of not driving a Porsche. In colder climates therapy includes internet forums, pca breakfasts, car shows, detailing a perfectly clean car AGAIN and centering family vacations around warmer locations and endurance racing ("Dad, why to do we ALWAYS go to Sebring for Spring Break!?"). Sitting your car in a cold garage, watching Chris Harris on youtube, dry shifting, making engine sounds...what's termed "shifting off" on the streets. In most cases this "therapy" only makes it worse.

Left untreated Low P can turn into actual P virus. If you find yourself moving from petty t-shirt and detailing product purchases, to continuously shopping for more expensive Porsches, justifying a GT3RS as the "family car", reviewing your home equity position and financing options, bouncing cars you found off of other infected friends (enablers/carriers)...you may have contracted full blown P virus. At this point the only hope is a full flat six transfusion, typically a 90 min a drive, even on cold, semi salt dusted roads, will bring P levels back to normal...if only for a short time.

I didn't take mine out when we had snow storms and after. It sat in the garage for weeks that I overcame the "P virus"...to the point I thought of trading it in for an Audi.

I finally said to myself...f@@k it! I'm taking it out. So, I've been driving it even with salt on the ground as long as there is no snow storm. It's embarrassingly dirty but it's a wonderful automobile.

I can still remember when I sold my 87 Vette, as the new owner drove away I was thinking... Why didn't I drive it more!?
My 07 CS was driven no matter what, and I bought a set of winter tires for my current 2011 C 4S. When it's Dirty it's a badge of honor now!

Took delivery of my 2014 991 middle of dead winter. Storm after storm here in NJ. Threw on Alpin PA4 and drove it all winter.

Look at the MB E-class owner trying to shoveling his way out while I drive past him. He was not a happy shoveler as I drive past him going into DD and then past him going out.

Nice to see you enjoying yours in the winter as well. I have the same tires and used the car daily like going to work here one day:

Amen to that! I specifically bought my 2010 C4S to be my DD year-round here in Chicago. For my winter set I've got a set of '07 Turbo rims with Sottozero's on it to claw through our nasty winter storms, which put a smile on my face every time I flew past lesser cars on our snow-covered roads this unending winter!

And I have to say that while I love detailing my 911 (man, these cars sure clean up nice!), there's something awesome about driving this beast and overcoming the elements - even when my poor car ends up covered in snow, salt and grime!
