I assume that's the OEM indoor car cover. Can you comment on how hard it is to get on? I've read several comments on the Porsche forums that these are extremely tight. Also, is the cover lined with anything (to prevent scratching the paint)? Thanks.

Yes OEM indoor cover. As it was the first time fitting it took nearly 5 min to get it right, but when I take it off I can fold it in a way so that when I go to put it back on It will be quicker as I will know exactly how it goes. It is snug but it's meant to be, it's made especially for the shape, it wont fit turbo models or wide body 4S.

I started with fitting the side mirrors in first as a guide then found it easier to get it right.

The material is breathable, so it won't create any condensation. It is lined with a soft material and will not scratch.

I have the same cover. It works quite well. Yes, put the mirror sections on first and finish up by stretching over the front bumper and exhaust pipes at the end. It will get a bit dirty from the tires and exhaust. When taking it off, I loosen up the front and back then remove the mirror sections and flip up the sides on to the roof. I roll the sides up again until I have perhaps a two foot wide roll the length of the car. One can then roll from one end of the car to the other until it is ready fit into the bag it came with. I think it was worth the $$.

The 997 C4/C4S is only about 1.75 inches wider than the narrow-bodies. Are you saying there is not enough stretch in this cover to fit the wider rear ends? I am looking at the same cover on the used market and want to make sure it will fit my 2006 C4S. Thanks.

Yes, Porsche make different sized covers for the C2/C2S, C4/C4S, & Turbo.

Good to know. I was just on Suncoast's website and they don't make any distinction between C2 vs. C4 car covers. The only thing they make provisions for is the wing of the Turbos and GT3/Aerokit cars.

Here is a link to Suncoast Porsche . . . by far the cheapest for OEM covers that I found.
