replace factory bose with basslink in the seat.anybody done this?

ok im actually right now good with the way the sound system sounds….thats redundant..but i intend to replace the factory subwoofer with a basslink. i want to use the factory wires with 1pair of signal, a positive, negative and switch. it should be an easy installation. my only concern is there is only one pair of signal wires. the infinity requires at lear 2 pairs, left and right. can anybody recommend how to get over this hurdle? can i just wire the connections in parrallel? i hope our audio gurus can chime in

Any update?

Did you figure it out where to tap the signal for the basslink?

did you get it directly from the bose amp?

Let me help you out since he's on the other side of the world:

Look around post #527. IMO, he had the idea. If I were him, I would remove the feet of the BassLink. I already test fitted and it fits nicely at the passenger rear footwell.

Thank you for the reply, however I still not sure how that answer my question I am not sure where he is taking the sub signals from. I'm not sure where the amp for the bose Bass box is, some places seen to believe there is a dedicated bass amps. I'm confuse.

Can i just get the signals from this harness? feed it to an aftermarket Amp and subwoofer?

Signals in that connector are outputs FROM the Bose amp. Wouldn't you want to tap the inputs TO the Bose amp so that they are unmolested?

Can't remember where I posted it but that wire contains all you need. The socket going to the Bose sub has the power and ground, the two thickest wires. The other 3 wires are remote on, and the right and left signals. These are speaker level outs. The sub has a booster amp. I'm sorry I can't remember where I posted the exact schematics.

Maturola, I tried this but ended up removing it. The bass link sounded great but looked bad. I ended up doing ryem3's budget audio hack... Cheap sounds great and all oem look. Just suggesting.

ok So you just replaced the Bose Subs with those suggested on that thread?

what i really want is to build a custom box to replace the Bose Box and add 2x flat subs + Aftermarket sub, this way the OEM look will stay but i'll have more base, to do this i need to know if the Sub signals are on that connector

The signal is there in that wiring. The power is also there including the ground. Let me try to look for the schem and I will post

A2 + signal
A3 - signal
A4 + switched line white and yellow
A5 ground brown
A6 power line red brown
I hope this helps in your quest. The bass is mono anywyas so there is a sidle set of signal
The power isalso adequate for a basslink. Don't know if it will be if you plan on putting a bigger one
