parked top down during heavy rain
all,
I parked and left to top down. it then start raining 5 minutes and car had a good amount of water in it.
luckily, the rain didn't hit the dash, not a single drop on the radio and the steering wheel. but seats were pretty wet. about one inch in both front seats. seems like water stay in the seats and does not go through (under it)
I took a towel right away and remove water.
I drove home (about 30 minutes drive) with AC on and heating to the max. (man, heating in those is very powerful!)
leather and plastics were dry. Fabric were not, like back of the back seats, carpet...)
once home I took another towel and dry the remaining (pretty much only the back of the back seats (back seats were down with wind deflector installed)
car is now in the garage with the door between garage and home open with AC running in the house to keep garage dry
anything else I should look at specifically?
anything to be worried about?
thanks

also,
I looked under both front seats and all electronics appear to be absolutely dry and never hit by a single drop of water
computers have an nice, equally spread film of dust. so that lead me to think that absolutely no water touched it.

Be careful running the climate control as it will draw in wet air and spread in places you might not want it to. Similar event happened to an RX-7 I had a few decades ago. I fried the main control box trying to dry out the car.
Take a wet/dry shop vac and get all water out of carpets and seats. If you have one of those hot air blowers, like people use on motorcycles, I would use that on the seat crevasses and any other nooks and crannies. Had this happen a couple of times just not in the 911.
things seems to be good. I will cross my fingers :-)
first start yesterday gave my a "PSM in diagnostic mode" but the 6 next start I did that day were fine. and PSM is working (tested under rain)
carpet are good, car kept it's usual leather smell.
scary experience, but everyday I understand more the price tag on those cars...

your cars already have rain sensor for wipers. why not using it to close the convertible top, sunroof and windows when raining?

you guys can do this?
