First drive of 997 S

I just drove the 997 for the first time. I cannot say enough good things about it. I felt cocooned and snug. The road feel was solid and firm. I've been waiting to drive one of these, and it was worth the wait. Can't wait for the C4S and TT when they arrive. It was a lot of fun detailing and driving this car. It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it Here are some pics of the finished work. I'll be doing a GT in the next few weeks and will hopefully drive that too. Pics to come.

Have you driven a 996tt before? How does the 997S compare to the 996tt?

Yes, I've driven both superfan. The 996TT has sheer acceleration that the 997S doesn't have. The 997 however feels more planted and stable. We're talking stock on both. I'm sure after some software and harware mods, the 997S can feel faster. I just like the fit and trim of the 997. The whole car just feels well built. I like the instrumentation of the 997 better. The dials and how they light up are nicer to look at and easier on the eye to read. I was playing with the stop watch and that was fun. I'm doing another one on Wednesday. I'll have pics of that too; not an S but a nice arctic silver.

The beige interior is very easy to maintain. We use Autoglym interior cleaner and it works great on leather, vinyl, and carpets.
