At 3000 miles may be a bit too soon. My C4S has always been dealer serviced. I pay around $250 for oil change, inspection and car wash. My time is too valuable between work and family so I delegate maintenance to the dealer. I do wash and detail my own cars though. The way I look at this is like our annual physical at the doctor. I rely on the professionals to keep me and the car in top shape.

Just picked up my 2011 C4S from Stevens Creek Porsche. I had my oil changed as the car hadn't had an oil change in a year, though the miles during that time were less than 4K. They did an inspection and will wash your car. Due to the drought they will give you a coupon for $25 not to have your car washed in a effort to save water. I didn't need the coupon, but skipped the car wash. Price for oil change is $249. I also had the brake fluid flushed and replaced as well as the coolant (despite Porsche's claim of coolant being a lifetime fluid...).

My car is CPO until Dec 2016 so I plan on having the dealer do the service until then.

Very helpful ! Thanks ! If you don't mind me asking, how many miles are on the 4s and what was the asking price? I was looking everywhere for a 2011 4s. Feel free to PM me if you prefer.

You can buy the exact oil change wrench at Pepboys in the oil change accs section for about $7-8. They sell like 30 of them. Bought one for my car, wifes car and daughters beetle for less than $30
