997.1 finally decided on Eibachs?
When I purchased my beloved 997.1 C2 I vowed never to place any aftermarket components as I had a BMW 3 series that I converted to a Dinan and just ruined the entire car. This 997 was to be pure porsche, stock and never see the light of the what sema has to offer. But as it be holds, the car sits to tall and now will be going at the process of installing Eibachs on the car. Eicbach has told me the ride quality won't change, the shocks won't get damaged since the springs are designed to work with them and performance will be better. Anyone had issues with these springs other than scrapping on driveways and some speed bumps?
Wow, a really similar story to mine… Had a stage 4 Dinan M3, what a great car, but off the track, the suspension was nothing short of punishing… Then came an AC Schnitzer Z3M roadster, fun little car but again, the suspension left quite a bit to be desired for real world use… Now there's a 997.1 Carrera S in the garage that I have vowed, with all that in mind, not to ruin the ride… Yet tomorrow it's getting Techarts installed...
I installed Eibach lowering springs on my base 2005 997. Yes , the ride quality did not change (due to progressive type springs), lowers car only one inch so the stock shocks are not damaged, vehicle looks great, just watch out for driveways and dips etc....otherwise bottom out.
i have also installed eibach pro kit springs on my .1 S with PASM and i think it is just a little harsher than stock but entirely ok on the road..in sport mode it is harsh if the road is not perfect, and what road is, TBS, with the approximately 1" lower ride height it is much nicer to behold...wouldn't hesitate to do it again...it does hit the small dirt spoilers on the front of the car, but not a problem, it seems they are designed to take it...do it! you'll be happy you did...
I installed Eibachs on my 05 S a few weeks ago and I'm loving them. The car sits at the perfect height now in my opinion and I haven't had any issues scraping any speed bumps or driveways, but then I was already used to taking those slow. It's only around 0.5" lower on an S with PASM, a little more in the rear, which I felt was just a little too tall from the factory. And speaking of PASM, I find the normal mode tolerable for driving around now. Previously it was way too bouncy and swayed too much in corners so I drove around in PASM sport mode almost all the time even though the ride is significantly harsher on bumpy roads. Now I drive almost exclusively in normal mode because the Eibachs have just made it so much more enjoyable. It's still a relatively comfortable ride in normal mode but feels just sporty enough. Even the sport mode feels better now, I think the spring rates maybe match better now to the sport mode dampening and the car just stays super flat in turns.

I have the Eibach Pro Kit on mine for over a year now. Dropped the car about an inch, I did not notice any appreciable difference in ride quality. Handling and acceleration out of the corners did improve (I also have H&R sways front and rear).

When you say you noticed a difference, do you mean the ride is much stiffer than before?
TechArt springs are relabeled Eibachs. Not sure you'll notice any difference between the two other than price.
911nitis, the springs aren't going to make the ride "harsher". They keep the car flatter so there's less body roll side-to-side, less squat front-to-back, and less bouncy than the stock springs (in normal PASM mode).
