Some questions..re pasm, radiator etc..
Does PASM really lower the car by 10mm?
Is the 3rd Radiator a factory option? My car has it but I have seen S models without one in my city..
I unsuccessfully tried a Bluetooth install to stream music from my phone via Bluetooth but could not get the subs to work, I have the BOSE system.. any ideas?
Thanks

Yes, still not quite low enough IMO. The rear in particular still has a fairly large fender gap over the tire.
The 3rd radiator came with the X51 option. PDK's and I think tiptronics too came with it from the factory because they need the extra cooling. The OEM 3rd radiator kit from Porsche can be installed on any 997 though. I bought it from ECS for under 200.

PASM does not lower the car. PASM equipped cars have suspensions that are slightly lowered and fixed in that position. Only the shock absorbers are adjustable. Pressing teh sport button will change the PASM setting, adjust teh throttle mapping and ease the stability control a bit.
You thought you read that pressing the button to put PASM in sport mode actively lowers the suspension by 10mm? Sounds like you just misread it. As Fahrer pointed out, it's a fixed height. Cars with PASM are 10mm lower than cars without it.
Pressing the PASM button does not cause the car to lower 10mm. Cars that have the PASM option installed have a suspension that is 10mm lower all of the time.
Also, if the car has the "sport suspension" option (different from PASM), then the car is always another 10mm lower. If a car has both PASM and sport suspension, it is always 20mm lower. The other clarification with respect to 997.2 models only: Earlier (2009-2010) 997.2 S PDKs do not come standard with the third radiator unless they have the X51 kit. My 2009 S PDK does not have the third radiator. Only 2011 S PDKs have the third radiator standard (not non-S or manuals). Finally, as per the Porsche TEquipment web page for the third radiator, the OEM third radiator kit is only available for 997.2 cars with manual transmissions. I'll certainly agree that Porsche makes this confusing and there is a lot of confusion about this on the web, so there is certainly a possibility that I may have something wrong. (My wild-*** guess is that Porsche included them as standard on 2011S to help sell off an excess of third radiators they had manufactured and the expected sales of the S models would burn off that excess while providing another small incentive to buy a later 997 instead of waiting for a 991).

interesting, I have PASM and sport mode suspension, so I am 20mm lower even with sport mode Off? Thanks.

The 20mm comment I made only applies if you have PASM and the optional "sport suspension" (you said "sport mode suspension" which does not directly exist). This is not the same as having the sport chronograph option and the resulting "sport mode" button that enables PASM as well as the ECU/PDK remapping. The terms are awfully close and easily confused.
I hope that this doesn't end up disappointing you cerbomark... I hope that you do indeed have the sport suspension option and I didn't mislead you with the previous post.
After thinking about this a bit, I thought it might be useful to look to see if I could find the option codes for these things.
Note that the vast majority of our cars do not seem to have the "sport suspension" option.
- "PASM Sport suspension" appears to be option code 030 (10mm drop)
- "Sports Suspension" is option code P17 (include LSD and the 20mm drop)
- "Sports chrono" (no plus) option code is 639
- "Sport chrono plus" option code is 640
Note that the vast majority of our cars do not seem to have the "sport suspension" option.
Let me add one more clarification since I see your post includes the phrase "sport mode suspension".

Editing my first response after a re-read of your last post. What you have is the PASM (option code 030), aka the Porsche Active Suspension Management system (and 10mm lowering). You may or may not have the sport suspension (option code P17, with an additional 10mm lowering and the LSD).

So that would be a 10mm drop correct?

SunCoastParts will pull a build sheet for you at http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...newproductpage for a $10 charge. Someone there looks it up on their computer and responds via email so it may be the next working day before you get it... then you will know everything for sure. There is a lot of info on there, some if it difficult to understand but well worth it in my opinion.
So you clearly have the PASM and 10mm drop and if you use the above you'll know all of your other options for sure within a couple of days.
