wrecked my 997s

Well, didn't technically wreck it, but mysteriously the garage door came down on the rear of my 2006 997S. Basically, it broke out the rear window, broke the rear wiper, and dented up my c pillars and rear deck lid and spoiler. It is in the body shop now, but any thoughts on how much this might be $ wise?

That sucks. But if the panels are not too bad (no frame damage, not replacing main panels) a lot will depend on the labor, rather than parts.

Find the right top-flight porsche shop.

Did your garage door opener not have an auto stop function? That is a lot of damage from a garage door.

Sorry to hear about this.

Unhappy

sounds pretty bad
shouldn't have happened

our family runs a garage-door company and we only sell automatic garage doors that don't even hurt a person when you're in the way (auto-stop resistance is adjustable)

unfortunately we're not located in the us, otherwise i would have been able to make you a good offer

Yikes! That is a lot of damage for a current day garage door. Unless you have an old swing-type super heavy non-autostop wooden door which I have until 2 years ago.
