997.2 and taller drivers?

Hi gang....I am looking for some feedback from taller people that are driving a 997.2 on a regular basis either coupe or cab. as far as comfort and roominess goes...I am 6' 4" and about 235 lbs...my local dealer does not have one on his lot to test drive at this time and I don't personally know anyone who owns one...any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I'm 6'3"...very comfortable in the 997 and I like to spread out. Neither the Boxster or the Cayman work for me though.

I'm 6'4" and I had no problem with my 996 coupe or with my 997 cabriolet. There is plenty of room. The only difficult part is when you are wearing a helmet for a track day. It's a little tight then, and you may have to adjust your seat.

Wow...Lot of us taller guys buying 911's lately. 6'2" here... zero issues.
Only issue, as mentioned last time this topic came up a few weeks ago was
I am muscular, and if you are wider than say a 46 through the shoulders, sport adaptive seats get a bit challenging width wise.

Being chubby would not help either. you seem weight proportionate.

I do have to be careful though when driving with my PVS-14(night vision) mounted to my ops-core base jump helmet, as it is challenging being taller getting out, but the seats go pretty damn low.

Go for it stretch.

6'8" 997.1 I tried several configurations. What works well are the non-power sport seats. These give me 3 1/2 inches over my head and I am not tilting the seat way back. The downside is that the steering wheel is not quite close enough to my chest. With a steering wheel spacer I'll be one happy camper.

Enjoy sir, great cars.

At least if you're taller than 5'9" you'll get some use out of the sun visors!! Me, not so much.

I'm 6'2" with 36" inseam. I have to pull seat a little forward when in city or I can't comfortably depress the clutch all the way. However, I then move seat back on highway. Seats are a little snug in shoulders but not uncomfortable.

Thank you for all the feedback...I'm glad to hear that headroom doesn't seem to be an issue for people taller than myself...thanks again!

Without a sunroof on the coupe, you'll be fine - you loose an inch if it's fitted, I'm 6'4" and comfortable inside mine (with sunroof). However in the 997 cab, I always feel as if there is an inch exposed above the windscreen........

Cheers,
