it should, since the 996 GT3 was built on C4 chassis anyways.

You have to wonder. The author says the 3.6 liter will produce 400 bhp, which is what we have been hearing in terms of hp. However, he goes on to say it is only 20 hp more than the base car -- try 75 hp. In addition, he says it should go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with a max speed of 185. The 997S with X51 does it in 4.4 with a max speed of 186.

I will be verys surprised if the GT3 does not utilize the 3.8 liter since it is the same weight as the 3.6. 400 hp sounds reasonable (19 hp more than the X51), but the wide body will add some weight. Lastly, it looks like the same aerokit now available on the 997 (bar the double barrel exhaust).

I figured they might use the same/current 3.6 motor, just increase it by 20hp. Looks great.

holy jesus!!!

Ok i take what Paul said as well this 996 GT3 look like a freaking beast. As a matter of fact, seeing these pics i think it look even better than the 997 Turbo by a lot!!!

I wonder what is gonna be the power output on this one? Anyone's guess? 420hp?
