Reminds me of the 68-73 RS spoilers. Not my style but that's why we have chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Looks good though!

Op - would you mind taking a few close up photos of the fit on this wing? I am considering this wing but would like to see some close up photos. Especially about the deck alignment you mentioned and where the sides of the wing blend into the rear of the car. Thanks

Looking good Matt !! You got a great deal with it already painted !! haha.

yes, that is a Misha Design duck tail and the previous owner now has the "Getty Design" Sport Classic Duck tail

here is a front splitter option for ya ... Not sure how well it works, but I am sure some other threads might talk about it.

You won't be disappointed. It's beautiful. I've been driving it more all week since the install -- I find myself looking back a lot more after parking

Splitter / Front Spoiler

I ran the G3Tek on my 997.1. Very easy installation, and if you don't like it, you can take it back off with little clean up.

Best of luck, and great looking car!

Fit of the wing looks great. I am thinking of the misha ducktail too but not sure what direction I am going to take with my car.

The Misha Ducktail is really nice, yet subtle and functional. Some tips for anyone considering adding any kind of wing. Most of them are made of fiberglass. So Your painter/body shop of choice will make a huge difference in the final look. Make sure they spend the time to double check for any imperfections, waves, or pin hole bubbles in the primer. These wings come with a pretty thick coat of sandable primer so as long as your painter has good experience it will come out looking really nice, but ask him to double check anyway. One last small tip.. Towards the pointy leading edge corners you can ask your painter to sand them down a bit to more of a knifes edge. (not too thin because they can break if dropped during installation. the op photos show a thinner leading edge corner) and this makes that flush look from 3rd brake light area to deck lid look like a better fit.
Looking forward to seeing it all done

Thanks for the tips I will forward them on to the paint shop. I will also show him the photo's of the OP's wing details as his looks how I want mine.

Thanks again.

That lip looks great. I think I'll be going with that one.

I don't think I'll paint it though. I plan to put Ohlins RT coilovers later and that combined with how much I track the car makes me think I'll be trashing any paint job I have done to it constantly.

I might just put a carbon fiber-look wrap on it and balance it with an old-school black RS Carrera decal along the side sills.

Maybe make it a modern day take on a 70's RS.
