My 997.1 non-Bose has 2 blown speakers (I guess). They are the lower speakers in the door panels.

Anyone know where to get the OEM replacements?

Do you necessarily need stock replacement speakers? I looked up a well known aftermarket supplier and they had several brand name models that would fit.

 

Pretty much, yes. Bose stock speakers are 2 ohms where aftermarket are usually 4 ohm and will be completely drowned out by the Bose stock speakers that still remain in the car. If you replace all speakers with aftermarket 4 ohm you will be fine. The best version on how to do this is in ryem3's thread. Just search for budget stereo install. Less than $500 for everything.

Did you order the woofers from the Sonnen place? Was it the 8 inch woofers you ordered? I need the Bose woofers and it looks like they have them for a great price, is the place legit?

I don't recall. The web page shows a contact number as 800-781-5741. Just give them a call and ask.

 

I didn't research the part numbers close enough, the link above is for the smaller door woofer, not the 8 inch woofer.

 

The speakers in my 06 C2S non-Bose system is giving me problems too. The front door speakers started to sound blown, my local independent shop told me it's my factory amp not the speakers. They sound blown to me. I would rather work on the amp under the front boot than pulling off door speakers. I'll let you know either way, going in Monday.
