Is this a true C4S ?
Now that's really interesting. I know that it doesn't really matter to you anymore, but that is the same car that used to be posted at Southpoint in Austin when it only had 58,182 miles. There was no date on the posting so I thought it was the listing you were looking at, but the VINs match. The poseur S had already been added by that time Southpoint listed it.

Oh yeah, I missed your other question. The "clock" in the dash is actually a stopwatch that is part of the Sport Chrono package and is only active when doing lap timing. Sport Chrono is an option in non-S models and while it is normally included in S models, a new-car buyer can opt for it to be deleted when selecting build options for the car. For most of us the timer (sometimes called the "wart") is not really useful most of the time other than being a visible indicator that the car has the Sport Chrono package.
Right you are! Thanks for the correction. I'm so used to seeing it in most of the S models that I made the mistake of assuming it was "standard" on the S, as opposed to being a option that normally appears on most S models. I should have known better since it is a cost item on my car's build sheet.
See this thread: http://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum...n-decoder.html. Copy the link provided and insert the VIN desired. You can cancel the Print window that pops up if you don't actually want the printout... the web page with the info I copied and pasted should remain in place.
I tried this an d it didn't work for me. I noticed that it worked for some and didn't for others. Just out of curiosity I was wanting to see mine but with no luck.
Sorry to hear it isn't working for you. I thought it would work for all North American cars. BTW, Suncoast can provide you with a much more detailed report than that one for only $10. It doesn't have the costs of your options but it does have a whole lot more. See http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...newproductpage
I just tried it again and it works with my VIN (2012). PM me your VIN and I'll try it.
