Steering wheel spacers
I can't speak for No1Joey however in my case it is because I'm very tall. With the seat all the way back and upright enough for a positive body position the steering wheel ideally would be a bit closer.
Myc2spc - 6'7" tall. My 997s has non-power sport seats. I have good head clearance and am pretty darn happy. For aggressive driving i would love to have the wheel closer.
Ahhhh, yes I am aware the steering wheel adjusts. Thank you for pointing that out.

Hey all,
6'5" guy here myself. There was an extensive thread on Rennlist about this that concluded in April of this year. We searched to the ends of the Earth for an easy mod. Even going so far as to speak with our generally taller Dutch dealership friends, those in Norway and shops that fabricate cars for NBA players.
Long story short, there is no way to easily (read: bolt on) modify the OEM steering wheel or column to bring the steering wheel farther out. The only way to do semi-simply do this is via an AM wheel with a hub adapter and spacer. You could also got the total custom route and have someone fabricate a longer steering column. I'm sure there are bespoke (and pricey) options.
Lower aftermarket seats can help bring the steering wheel in a more comfortable position though not much closer.
One option I am currently exploring is to remove the fore/aft adjustable bar underneath the seat and have the seat hard-mounted to the floor. That will drop it about an inch, be reversible if I ever wanted it to be, and help ever so slightly.
Sorry fellow tall people. It's rough out there in pcar world for us.

Okay, I did a bit more searching and it looks like someone posted a separate thread on the GT3 forum on Rennlist that solved this issue:

It looks like it is custom and runs about $700.
If you want to go aftermarket, look at OMP. An OMP hub, static or adjustable extender and a scooped wheel will bring the wheel closer but you will lose your airbag.
