Dallas Custom Steering Wheel - Size?

I am about to place an order for a DC steering wheel...not sure what size though? 1/16" or 1/8" padding? I m worried 1/8" might be too thick. Thanks

I recently got a wheel from MAcarbon, and had the same dilemma. I chose not to go with the extra thick as a lot of Porsche guys at the dealer felt the regular thickness is nice enough and the thick was of no advantage.
Didn't chose all alcantara throughout, though as I opted for the perforated leather hand grips to avoid a worn out look. ( actually chose alcantara bottom, carbon top, carbon Center and perf. Leather grips). Don't think the thick "fits" imo.

I would def get the thicker wheel. My ferrari had a thick wheel and i wished my gt3 and c2s came that way. The fat wheel felt so wonderful. I can promise you will not be disappointed

+1 on that. The stock thickness is pretty weak and feels even weaker once you've had your hands on the thicker version.

Based on the above I'd go along with their thinking...

Go thicker. I also agree with the prior post about avoiding alcantara all around. Perforated leather will wear much better, and feels better than smooth.

Alcantara can last. Its all how you take care of it. its not for everyone though. You really need to make sure your hands are clean and oil free. if this seems too much for someone I'd get leather. For me its worth it to have alcantara and keeping my hands clean before driving. There are also videos on how to take care of them.Wheel also doesn't get hot in the summer sun nor cold in the winter. Myself, I prefer the feel of it over the leather! To each their own!
