Dissenting opinion: personally I think these cast wheels are heavy and really ugly.

Hey the Supreme Court does this, why can't I?

Love Lobby's and thought I was the only one! I think they are classic in the vein of the Cup1 964 wheels... in case you were wondering what yours might look like with clear stone guards...

I like it!

After looking at it, I added 15mm spacers in back and 5mm in front. I think it looks good... I may go with clear stone guards too.

Any chance you could shoot some other angles on the clear stone guards? Mine seem yellowish and completely visible in comparison.

I don't have a picture handy but can take one in the next couple days, no problem. I can say that mine are not yellowing, it's a 2009 that is garage kept so maybe that makes a difference?

I have an '08 that has been a DD for about 18 months but is garaged otherwise... you have to squint but you can see the guards in both pics.

Wow, yours look pristine compared to mine! I've heard of others getting them replaced by Porsche as part of warranty/CPO, maybe I'll give that a try.

Looks good. That's my wheel of choice and on my 4s as well.

bought my first Porsche this past December. A 2008 997 4s Cab 6 speed, blk on blk on blk. The Porsche dealer had this on their lot with 20" Techart rims. Not a deal breaker, but another '08 on their lot had the 19" Lobster Claws. Made a deal to swap out the rims and rubber to put the 19" Lobster Claws on my potential car. I thought they just made the car. Glad I did. The Lobster's are timeless beauties.

Applaud your going back to lobster claws although I never warmed up to them. My favorite OE wheel is the 19" Carrera Classic.
