Arling, the lower side of the skirts are black plastic because the AWD, specifically the front wheels, throw up more dirt/rocks that would pit and chip the paint, especially when doing burnouts...

totally agree. i sure you can get it done as an option, but those peices along with the turbo front lip take a beating. that is exactly why i don't paint the lower lip on my turbo bumper as it would look like **** in a matter of days. i put clear bra on the side skirts to minimize the rock damage.
