Want to remove both front seats in 997.2 for painting shell

Hi,
can anybody help me for removing my seats? I have a 997.2 Convertible with sport seats. The leather ist beige and the shell on the backside is silver. I want to paint it black. How can I do this? I was looking for a DIY for removing the seats, but I wasn't successful. Has anybody an idea?

Here you can see the backside of my seats. They are silver, which I want to change into black.

Two plastic slide covers, four torx bolts and your airbag sensor connector are all you need to remove.

Here are a couple threads (the latter is for buckets but basically the same):
http://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum...tion-help.html
http://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-g...moval-diy.html

Be sure to pad your steering wheel and door when removing. They are heavy, cumbersome and it will be easy to accidentally put a nick or dent in other parts of the car trying to remove/install them.

Most importantly, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY 30 MIN BEFORE WORKING ON THE AIRBAG SENSOR.

If you do not, you risk tripping the SRS light which needs a PIWIS or Durametric Pro reset.

No need to disconnect the battery. Only be 100% sure that while the connectors under the seats are disconnected that you do not put the key into the ignition, that's all.

One more thing: when I take the seats out I cover not only the dashboard but also the doors with moving blankets. The easiest way to get them out (after you removed the four fasteners at each corner is this:
Flip them backwards so that you can reach the electric connections under the seats. Now grab the lower portion of the seat lift it and carefully turn the seat so that the back of the seat point to the other door. Now go slowly backwards. Yu can do this by yourself but it's easier (and safer) with a 2nd pair of hands.

mpath will become famous soon enough
And you need new torx bolts when you reinstall the seats as Porsche says they're one-time use only.
