Forum 997 Participation?
Why is there only like a handful of posts per day on the 997 forum? When I had mine years ago it was pages (s) of posts per day and a lot more involvement. This was the busiest section of 6speed - are there better porsche forums now?
Or did all the 997 owners move over to the 991?

They have moved on to rennlist, yes, this place is dead compared to what it used to be. Some people got annoyed with all the vendor ads. Before I come to 6speedonline I don't venture outside of the 997 subforum, it was that busy, now when I'm here, I just click on the new post. I can finished reading all the post on the 997 subforum in 10 minutes or less.

Wow - I thought this section (997) would always go strong -- I guess nothing is forever. I was on RL as well but definitely found more action on here back in the day.
It seems like ghost town now - or the fact that 997s got wiped of the face of the earth haha.

Trending Topics
RL is definitely more active, people just stop coming here. Many 997 owners that moved to the 991 left, a lot of the new 997 owners post on RL because it's more active and just end up staying there. That's just the fact of life, nothing last forever.
I atually just subscribed to the 997 Forum here. Been on Rennlist's for years but it seems that 6speed has more mod-friendly users than Rennlist and I'm a mod guy, so now I'll participate on both.
Ebbs and flows... Folks started coming here from Rennlist about 8 years ago and traffic really picked up on 6Speed; now they are migrating back. It's usually a matter of end-users increasing, the advertising follows, then users move-on, advertising falls and it all cycles!
That is why I've always been a fan of 6speed. It started with the 996 crowd, just a bunch of mod crazy people around here. RL to me seems like a bunch of purist old farts. lol Nothing wrong with that, just different. 6speedonline was the place to be back in the days. I was part of multiple BMW forums and Mercedes forums (use to own both) and everyone's goals was to move on to 6speedonline. I know the Aston martin subforums seems to be pretty active but most Porsche discussions seems to move to RL.
