Steering wheel extender for 997

The 9products airbag steering wheel extender for series 997 is finally available on the market!

We have had the 996 extender available a few years. We have received very good feedback of it and it's been very popular so I'm glad to bring this product for series 997 too.

PM for pricing

Beating a dead horse here. Will the ribbon cable for my 2007 997S airbag (not a paddle shifter) manual 6 speed reach the port with no modification?

Simple answer will get my order sorted.

Thank you.

If you don't have extra buttons in the steering wheel (volume, tiptronic etc) the extender is bolt-on. If there is a multi-function steering wheel the button wires need to be cut and extended. I will post instructions and pictures of the modification soon. Airbag wires should not be modified! Bolt-on wiring set is not available at the moment.

So yes, this would fit to your car without modifications. The airbag wiring has plenty of extra so there is no point to make an extension wiring kit just for the airbag.

Ohh, very interested. Sending a PM. I have long legs but prefer wheel close to me, which is awkward.

Installed! Works great. No issues with airbag wire harness.
2007 997.1 non-multifunction steering wheel.
NO affiliation with the parts supplier.

Excellent news for everyone!

We have designed a plug in adapter for the airbag harness
Multifunction and tiptronic steering wheels require this adapter for the airbag harness to reach the clockspring.

Steering wheel extender and airbag harness adapter sold separately.
