Jumped into the mix today...

and ordered a C2S. Looooong wait though, March build.
Here's the specs, not too extravagant:

Arctic Silver
Black Sport Seats
Black Mats
Carrera Classic Wheels
Heated Seats (hey it's Utah)

Still undecided about Sport Chrono. That's an expensive lap timer.
The process of researching and thinking and negotiating and ordering and waiting is fun in a sick kind of way!

Paul S, You should get the Sport Chrono. It's lot more then just a expensive lap timer.

Marc I ordered the S which has PASM and Xenons standard... I thought I was going to get the base model w/o PASM and I debated PASM long and hard but the new copy of Excellence mag says PASM has been improved for '06.
When I considered the cost difference between the base and S and what goodies you get with the S, not to mention the 30 hp, and then add the fact that with the base I'd drop an additional 2k on the Porsche sport suspension it seemed to me that the S was the way to go.

I forgot the S has PASM and Xenons...that why I thought a more base S is a better choice then a loaded up non-s...good choice...all you need to do is decide sport-chorno or not. When I played with it is does a variety of things and I thought the more sensitive gas pedal (alal power switch in our M3's ) was nice..

Anything leaving the collection when this baby arrives?

That's the thing- I've never liked the sport button on the M3, made the throttle too sensitive for me. It was better on the E39 M5.
The reason I referred to it as an expensive lap timer was the fact that if you disable PSM, turn PASM to sport mode, and push your foot down on the gas a little more, effectively that's all the s/c is, an expensive lap timer, correct? And I would have preferred a more integrated spot for it than the top of the dash.
I added the auto dimming mirrors today, man I'm getting soft!

They will come in handy. I hate drivers that drive with their high beams on!!, and there's plenty
