I do. I find myself putting the spoiler up 90% of the time, the other 10% is if I'm doing a quick run to the store.

I leave it up for two reasons:

-It looks cool
-I'm too lazy to sit there and hold the button

whatever..... Cars with horns that sound when you lock/unlock them are annoying. I think flashing lights is all you need to know it is locked/unlocked. Even a pleasant horn is annoying (to me).

Thanks for blessing everyone with your opinion though it had absolutely no meaningful contribution to the thread

I don't know about anyone else but I have trouble hearing the locks engage. If I'm in a parking garage and there are no sounds going on, I can hear it then. If I'm in a parking lot and I'm a good distance away from any commotion, I can hear it.

As soon as a car is driving by, or the wind picks up, or any other sound happens, I never hear the locks. I have to look and make sure the lights blinked. It also doesn't help that the button is kinda stiff to push, so sometimes you're not sure if you pushed it all the way.

Granted, my hearing issues are probably due to years of abuse from subwoofers and concerts, but still, a soft horn or a beep would be nice.

^^^^Agree. There are times when I have to go back to the door handle and pull to ensure the locks are engaged, which is just downright silly.

While I understand the feeling of some here that a horn honk is a bit obnoxious, I have to say the somewhat subtle chirp from my '07 Audi RS4 would be perfect (if it existed on the 997).

+1, Id like a short chirp as well. I'v learned to just double check with handle pull.

this is a timely thread for me.
i recently went from a 996.1 to 997.2.
my old 996.1 beeped when the door locks
were engaged with the key, now the new
997.2 doesnt. just the light flashes.
i thought there was an issue, however
now this thread clears it up.
