Bluetooth streaming using Android phone
Been using the viseo/iPhone ever since I can remember for Bluetooth music streamin but now moving to an android phone. Anyone with experience with the best connection device. I read that the viseo also works with android to stream music but the tracks are not showed and controls are on the phone. Hoping for same functionality as the viseo/iPhone combination...hope somebody is running a link like this.
I am using iSimple in mine with no issues, it displays stations/artis/song info on the pcm screen and calls are clear.

i've used the standard fm transmitters in the past and they sounded ok (provided the engine wasn't on and the car wasn't driving around), otherwise it would sound exactly what you are imaging re fm transmitter quality - you will be surprised with the tranzit blu hf.
I too use the "iSimple Hands-Free Calling and Music Streaming Kit with Control Button for Smartphones". Sends its signal through the antenna jack; you can select an "unused" area on the FM spectrum over which to send the signal. Sound quality is good to very good. The only issue I've had is, even though you can select the FM frequency, if you leave the Bluetooth on, on the smartphone, and tune to your favorite FM radio station that is relatively weak, the sound quality of the radio station is diminished when compared to having Bluetooth off on the smartphone.

I have the TranzitBlu HF bluetooth kit in my 2008 997 C2S. Sound quality is very good. Only complaint is that I get some interference/noise through the radio when audio is not playing.
what about turning off the bluetooth on the phone off and making sure that the traznit blu is also off (non pairing mode). when i do both those things its back to completely oem sounding fm/am levels.
I'm saying that when I have it connected, and there's no music playing, I get interference/noise.
