Failed Smog - Secondary Air System

My 2007 997 C4S failed Smog. It does not have any mods or the X51 package

The Smog papers states:

OBD II Monitor Not Ready
1. Secondary Air System
2. Oxygen sensor

My Durametric shows:
P1682 - secondary air valve final stage

Questions:
1. Anyone had this P1682 issue before? FYI, my CEL is NOT on.
2. Anyone knows where the AIS is located? Is it behind the alternator?

Much appreciated!

I also have located the pump and it runs via Durametric. The Kombi valve was also removed, cleaned and I cal blow Air through it. The electric switch valve was also cleaned and I can blow Air through it once I apply voltage through it.

Thanks.

Have you disconnected your battery recently? I've read that the emissions system takes a long time to run all its diagnostics before it can be smog tested. The Not Ready condition may not actually be a failure, just that the system can't be checked yet.

The battery was replaced 6 months ago. Before posting this thread, I did the "drive cycle" 3 times at midnight without success.

As an update, All 5 Smog items (cat efficiency, o2 sensors, heater, etc) are in Pass status as of Yesterday. And yes, Prior to yesterday, 3 items were in Fail status.

Though 5 items are passing, i still have P1682. Hope this pic/detail helps:

I had the same issue after I cleared some codes. Took 2 weeks of daily driving to clear the last stage for the air pump. I kept checking for it to clear with the Durametric after each drive.

Can't remember the code, but it was the readiness check for the secondary air pump in durametric that I waited to pass.
