Question/battery tender choice
Hi everyone,
Porsche dealership just quoted me @250.00 for a Porsche battery tender, ouch!
Is there a quality tender that plugs in the cigarette lighter like the Porsche?
It would be for a 2011 911 GTS,
Thanks, Bob

The Porsche branded unit is (under the skin) a CTEK 3300, and is available online for $59.99. I use it on my '05 997S.
Aston Martin's branded version is also about $300, and it's a CTEK 3300. I use it on my '11 V8 Vantage S.
The cigarette lighter plug attachment is about $12.

i have a 997.2 Carrera and it’s been great, I don’t know about the others. I don’t drive the car for weeks at a time and just leave it on the tender which does a trickle charge when it needs it
if you have a few things there is a tender bank that you can plug in multiple vehicles. I have a couple of motorcycles a 997.2 and a 4Runner and have had no issues in years.

Battery Tender and C-Tek are 2 different brands. The Porsche one is a rebranded C-Tek. Either will work just fine and I use both on my 997s and other P-cars - the Battery Tender ones on the cars where I've hardwired in the quick connect to the battery terminals, the C-Tek on the ones where I haven't and am charging through the cigarette lighter socket.

Seems Sears carries the CTEK 3300. But after checking make model year the website warned that the CTEK 12V Multi US 3300 Battery Charger P/N 56-158 might not work with my 2011 911 GTS.
Any specialists here know?
Thx.
