First Porsche, first post...
I have been lurking for a few months trying to soak up as much info as I could while I searched for my first Porsche. After ruling out a 991.1 due to not being able to get what I wanted within my budget, I focused on a 997.2 CS. I have been looking for several months. Here's what I was looking for: An S model with less than 50K miles on it in excellent condition and with an excellent maintenance history. Sports chrono, full leather, adaptive sport seats, and highly optioned. Colors considered were grey, blue, silver, or white. I preferred a manual but was open to a PDK if the right car came along. I found a 2009 CS in GT Silver with 42K miles on it. The car was 116K new which is still hard for a non wealthy guy like me to wrap my head around. I found it locally through a private party and the guy could not have been nicer or more helpful. I paid $53K for it. I'm looking forward to being part of the forum and learning as much as I can from others. I have had BMW's, Lexus along with others but I have wanted a 911 since I was 15. I'm pumped!

Great looking car! I just joined the club as well (my last P car was a '98 Boxster) and will be posting up as soon as I take delivery (having the side markers swapped out and rear emblem replaced as it was missing part of the "C" ). I found exactly what I have been looking for. Congrats and welcome!
Very nice and those are my favorite stock wheels too. Unusual to see an "S" with a black gauge cluster also. Black was standard on the base models but while or silver or whatever they called it was standard on the S so the black gauges on your car must have been an option.

SWO Daddy thanks! I'm also in San Diego and have an 08 BMW 335i coupe so we seem to be on the same wavelength!
