Looking at purchasing 07 997.1

Hello,

Close to pulling trigger on a 997.1 but found out during the due diligence process that it had scoring in cylinders and engine was sent to EvoSpec for rebuilding early this year.

Couple of questions,

What is the overall reputation with EvoSpec engine rebuilding? Tried calling them directly but they are out this week testing.

Should I be looking at the rebuilding as a positive or negative as a potential purchaser of this car?

All opinions would be appreciated

They certainly look qualified. Please post your findings. 4.0 spec rebuild?

If it is sound and performs correctly and has a certain warranty following that rebuild and they can confirm that ims has also been adressed ( I know its a must but I've taken things for granted before...) then I definitely see it as positive. In fact, given two similar vehicles, I would go with this one, no matter the mileage of the other ones.
