Car Interior wet and lots of fault codes- help please
Hi all. I just purchased a distressed 2005 997 convertible and my goal is to bring it back to its former glory. It was left in the rain with the drivers window down and got very wet inside and was left. The seat leather is destroyed but it also has fault codes that I would like some help with. I have it at my very trusted indy and these are the codes so far.
C121 communication rear control unit
C127 communication front control unit
C141 Communication PCM
C152 Communication PSM control unit
C131 communication gateway control unit
So far the power top isn't working, the spoiler is up and the front and back trunk releases don't work. The ABS and air bag lights are also on.
If it helps at all a new battery was just added after the car sat undriven for a few months.
I have read that the rear control module is under the drivers seat and could explain the top and spoiler but not sure about the others. Any insight you guys may have would be amazing. Thank you in advance!

I think you may be in for a long road there. Electrical problems aren't fun and you seem to have quite a few of them.
You might come out firther ahead if you part it out, providing you paid what you should have for it, which is about $15 grand, especially if it has a salvage title. If you can find a good roller with a damages engine and start swapping parts into the dry car, you might come out OK.

Sounds like a challenge. You mention an indy involved in the project. Can you do any of the work yourself? If not I hope you bought it right. Based on what you mention, this could go in all kinds of directions. That said, especially if you can do most of the work yourself you could luck out and come out in good shape with a nicely refurbished 2005 997. But, does it have a salvage title?
