Post Vehicle Protection Plans

Has anyone had any experience with 3rd party protection plans? I have owned 3 911's over the last 10 years and have not had a major repair. I know a transmission or engine failure would be devastating. I just purchased a 2008 C4S with less than 50K miles and every other forum post I read is Bore Score..... I just want to be prepared if my time comes.

I've bought a number of them. Best one in my opinion is Fidelity's Platinum coverage. Never had a claim denied and that includes a $20,000 PDK replacement. I've bought my policies from Michael Jourdan at Mossy Motors in New Orleans. Somehow he manages to sell these policies at about a 50% discount vs. other venues like dealerships for example.

Here's Michael's email address. He will ask for your VIN # and mileage on the car in order to give you a quote: mjourdan@mossymotors.com

I had a Fidelity Platinum plan and it paid for a failed water pump. They have a good reputation but beware. Even with the platinum plan, They will not pay for a repair if it comes to a significant % value of the car ( I do not remember how much). So, an engine failure in some cases might not be covered. Also, who determines the value of the car?
