What's up guys, was lookign on ebay and came across a "Stg 4 Evo Turbo 997" wtf?!? I looked on Evo's site and couldnt find anything about a turbo kit?!

Well not sure what the guy is thinkng?! But the engine compartment shows an NA 3.8L motor with a V-flow for an NA car...

 

I know the car, it obviously does not have turbo in it and the dealer made a mistake in the ad.

 

I know this car as well. The orginal owner was trying to sell it Private Party here in az for a while - $104,000.00 I called him and asked if that price and description was a mistake, he said "no"?? I then tried to politley tell him it was NOT a "Turbo" car but rather a "CARRERA S" with maybe EVOMS Stage IV package for the "CARRERA S". He wasnt hereing it and promised it was a Turbo ..... Anyways, a few days later he contacted me and asked if I wanted to trade for my 2003 SL55, I said sure! In my opinion his car was only worth 85 - 88k so I said yes and offered 3k on top of my SL55. He freaked outand said I would need to add at least 17k on top of my Sl55....

Anyways, long story short, I know he tried dumping it off to all of the local dealers and I guess he fond one that believed his "Turbo" story, I dont know how but they did? The funny thing is that this guy should know something about cars, he had some really nice ones in his garage: Bentley Flying Spur, S55, Porsche Cayenne Turbo.... Doesn't make sense to me!

I hope that the dealer re-looks at the car before a Sale is made or they may be looking at loosing their bond for selling a car claimed a a "Turbo" that is not!!!

 

That is definitely not a turbo. I would expect him to know more about the cars that he (or she) sells.

 

Yea seriously, that price is insane and really misleading. I wonder what EvoMS has to say about this

 

I contaced them when I was looking at it and they laughed! They said they dont do any such package and wondered what the guy was talking about...

I think the dealership needs to know what they bought themselves... I am guessing that they maybe gave him 92 - 94K for the car on a trade in assuming they sold him an even more expensive car. Wow are they in for a shock when they either figure out that the car is NOT a "Turbo" or the person that buys this car comes back in and sues them for mis-leading and fraud! Crazy stuff here in Az
