Thanks Fanatic. I get to pick it up tomorrow, as I said, with all but the rear bumper, skirts, and rear diffuser. Those will definitely finish it out on the exterior.

ILL, I surely do remember our conversation. Thanks again for the compliments. I'm really hoping this one kicks *** for a long while. As far as the trade, I can't even begin to start thinking of anything else for a while, but that sure is flattering! I'm telling you, the 996 turbos, done correctly, may still be one of the best looking Porsches to ever come out, period. Thanks for that.

 

Haha totally agree man, after i went RWD my love went up sky-high for this car, as in performance and feel. As for look's, ive always loved the looks and thought it looks great stock or modded!

Thing is, i appreciate and love all Porsche's, they are amazing cars. Cant wait to see your car done, its going to be awesome. BTW that interior is crazy, so unique, i love it!

Welcome aboard. The radar-detector cord looks terrible. You need to get it hard wired and mounted high on the windshield. With all your concern for mods and details, it's hard to believe you could overlook this.

I think it's about time to show us some Pics ... every-one is waiting !

 

Dudes... you all think YOU are waiting??? There aren't any pics because I don't have the friggin car yet! I flew into Charlotte today to pick it up (four days late) and it... wasn't done. Now, I knew that the Rinspeed stuff wouldn't be there, but the front bumper and rear deck lid and wing were still being PREPPED for paint.

BUT, I saw it. I heard it. I saw the wheels (NONE of the pics you've seen yet have been taken by me... that's ALL I had seen until today). I saw the pieces. I love it. I'm really stoked. The carbon on the basalt black (mirrors and such) looks incredible. If you have a basalt car, get the friggin mirrors. It's great. Anyways, they are delivering it to my house tomorrow in Wilmington, which is a 3.5 hour drive for them each way. This is good for a few reasons. Now I have a way to get my parts here (wheels, bumper, etc) for free because he is being tailed by the parts van. If it blows up, it will blow up on him. And he will have a hard time giving it too much wringing out when an Astro Van has to keep up. It's all good. I'll post asap tomorrow, assuming this doesn't happen again. It looks good fellas. It really does.

 

I'm just so freaking tired of these poseurs writing these long detailed descriptions, novelas some would say, of all the supposed mods they've done to their new cars, telling us how much they love their cars, and that their car will be back any day now, and it's gonna kick everyone's ***, and they're gonna take pictures, and in the meantime they post these generic pictures that supposedly "the guys at the shop" took, etc. ad nauseum.

I think any of these poseurs who claim all these great mods but then can't produce photographic evidence of said mods, should be banned.
