But I'll be out there at the track with my service guys and techs... so if it breaks, I feel good about them hooking me up. I'm not going to be Jeff Gordon though. Just want something unique. I'm meeting with Ian Baas (23 yr old Randy Pobst co-driver: winner of 24 Hours of Daytona) at VIR soon and he's going to spend a day or two with me in my car to help me with my skills. I'm also going to a 4 day class at Panoz at Road Atlanta. I don't plan to race it, but I do want to know how to drive it correctly.
Thanks for all the props guys. I do appreciate it. Look forward to your pics, Russ... just like every other person on this list! And Jiaim, thanks again.

Does Wilmington even have a Porsche dealer? I've always been a big fan of SC'ing but I'm too scared (translation: I don't have enough money to fix it if it breaks) to do it. I follow the SC posts pretty closely. I wish you and the others the best of luck. I hope your mods stand the test of time, because if they do I'll supercharge my car when the warranty expires. For now, I'm considering getting the aerokit, Tubi, PSS9's (PASM compatible) and a big brake kit. I e-mailed Champion for some info on the F77 upgrade but they haven't responded.
Peace.

Listen guys. I know it's been a while since I posted. I'm really trying to be good about this SC thing. It never has run right. It coded. It WILL NOT IDLE. You never know how sucky that is until it kills at EVERY LIGHT unless you clutch the crap out of it. It could be an easy fix. We'll see. I can't get anyone to call me back. The dealership does, but the dealership didn't pay. I did. And I call and leave nice, friendly, pleading messages.
Before I went through typing all that is going on, I wanted to wait to see how Evo is handling it. I understand that s*#^ happens. But it's all about getting it fixed. It's been weeks, fellas. I'm about done waiting and I will tell you what I feel. There are times when I... well. Let's just see. Let's just say, they have just a few options.
1- They buy a plane ticket.
2- They give me my money back and pay the dealership for their labor.
3- The actually work on a solution.
I consider myself a very easy going customer. When #%$&* started #)(*&ing up, I called and told them that "I knew what I was getting into with all this. It's to be expected. Let's just get it fixed." I'm about to go ape#$@& boys.
Knowing that I could be venting a bit with all this, there's still a chance for them to be outstanding citizens here. Either way, I'll tell you all the whole story soon. I just want to know how it ends before I do.
For starters though... apparently you can't just buy a SC kit from them, be one of ten (they told me) on 997Ss, 'be the only one with problems' and get a call back, no matter how nice you are. I hope they handle me the right way. We'll see. If they do, I'll let you know. If not, you'll know about it too. But either way, they should call me back. Don't you all think? They disagree with me apparently. And Russ, are you Todd or what? The instructions sent over were of MexicoBlue's car. How 'bout some help here, buddy?

Evo Ms are amazing people it seems, i hope they resolve this for you with no added problems, i like their products but this is news to me! Hope your car is in working order shortly, goodluck.
Yeah. We'll see. I like them when I talk to them, which is one of the reasons I chose Evo over other SCs. But now, when I need help... no hear. Pisses me off. I'm not unreasonable. Just let me know you give a ****. You know?

But this is surprising, especially since your post is civil and straight forward, not coming on here bashing away! I hope it gets resolved.
Evo experience
I've had two encounters with Evo. One bad and one good.
First experience. I ordered a Porsche Short Shift Kit from the dealer. Made an appointment for the installation. It took about a week to get an appointment. My dealership is about an hour away from where I live. I ordered an Evo link kit. Paid extra for 2 day delivery so I could have it in time for the installation of the short shift kit. Appointment comes around and no Evo link kit. The consequence cost me the labor to remove the center console twice. I don't recall what the hours were, but I think it was around 1.5 to 2 hours. I think Porsche techs make around $95/hr in Cary, NC. I had to make another appointment. Plus I had to take another day off work to drive an hour to the dealer to get the link kit installed. I was hot. I called Evo and spoke to Todd. He offered me a free hat. I didn't take him up on the offer.
Second experience. I went to Pheonix last summer to visit some people. I stopped in the Evo shop and spoke to Todd personally. I didn't tell him who I was. He was very friendly and showed me around his shop. He answered a lot of questions and seemed really cool.
Take that for what its worth.

Thanks Jon. And thanks Quick for the insight. We'll see what happens. Everybody can have a bad day or week. We'll see how they are this coming week. Again, they've been great on many, many respects and we need tuners like them in this industry. I just want to see this through to a perfect running car. We'll get there.
