Ran a 996TT
This weekend I ran a 996TT about 5-6 times from a variety of speeds, mostly slow rolls.
Through 4th gear (which is as fast as we went) he could only pull a couple of feet on me (less than 1/4 of a car length).
Is this normal? I was very surprised, and pleased.

I was expecting to be anilhated but I was very surprised with how strong the 997S ran.
Coming from a 2005 GT3 this car feels so tame I was surprised at how quick it is.
in thinking he is losing boost or something...bc the 997s is fast...but not THAT fast...but if he had a stock shifter...he prolly lost alot of time shifting as they are LONG *** throws!
I could believe this, at least through 3rd gear. The 997CS is widely believed to be a bit underrated at 355 HP, so let's nudge it up a bit. Factor in the lighter weight, and reduced drivetrain loss from RWD, and the wheel HP to weight ratios start to look pretty close. At higher speeds, the TT will clearly pull away (as we see with 1/4 mile trap speeds), but sub-100 mph, I could easily see it as a driver's race.
Also, don't read too much about area under the curve, as neither car will be below 4,000 rpm, except in first gear.
