Headers, 300 cell cats, PSE?

I love the pse sound too much to feel right taking it out so I was thinking to put some awe headers and high flow cats to my PSE. are there any gain or am i just causing a bottle neck. any help would be great

I would think that would make a huge difference. The collection method of the stock S headers is pretty restrictive to say the least...And some better flowing cats will make a big difference - From what I've heard you can go down to 200 cells with no CEL issues.

You might want to check to see if AWE high flow cats will work with PSE. I thought I read they wouldn't fit together. Other companies might have a high flow that will. I have thought of doing the same.

Correct - call Mike at AWE, but last I checked, their cats didn't mate up to PSE...but they were working on it.

I have the Fabspeed 100 cell cats and headers matched to the PSE. The sound is incredible. I did notice a power gain and better throttle response. Not a single cell with the cats after 2000 miles. It may depend on the air in your part of the country.

This may not mean much, but without a baseline run I made 318 rwhp with the exhaust and GIAC flash.

JH-

You are correct. If you have PSE and you want to use our system, you need to replace everything. You cannot mix and match. You will also need to find Non-PSE tips as well. The PSE tips will not work with our muffler outlets.

We would still like to get a test car. If there is anyone in the PA, DE, NJ, NY, CT or DC area that would let us use the car, we would appreciate it.

Hope this helps.

The AWE setup is fantastic. I did the whole system (cats, mufflers, headers) coupled with the EVO intake and GIAC flash and the performance results, quality and sound are unmatched IMO. I was at an AX event last week and everyone kept asking me where they could get this setup.

I can't wait to order their new tips to complete the package....how much longer, Mike?

This is Joe @ Fabspeed Motorsports.

We designed our 993, 996, 997 MAXFLO performance exhaust systems to be completely interchangeable with the factory systems. This way Fabspeed Motorsports customers can select certain exhaust components as an upgrade and replace only certain factory parts. This way they can custom tailor the sound level and pwerformance that they individually want. Lastly, the customer is not forced to and/or does not have to spend alot of money and replace everything.

Fabspeed Motorsports sports race cats will fit PSE equiped cars. Our 997 headers I have been told also fit too.

have a great day and feel free to stop by Fabspeed Motorsports

best regards
